Privacy.

Your privacy matters to me, including before you become a client.

This website is intended to provide information about my practice and to offer a secure way to make an initial contact. I try to collect as little information through the website as is reasonably necessary.

When you visit

Basic website information.

This website is hosted by Squarespace. Like most website platforms, Squarespace may receive certain technical information when you visit the site, such as information about your browser, device, network, IP address, and how the site is used.

I do not use this website to sell visitor information or for targeted advertising.

When you contact me

A secure first contact.

The contact form on this website is provided through Hushmail for Healthcare rather than through Squarespace. Information you enter into that form is encrypted and delivered to my secure Hushmail account.

You are welcome to tell me what feels important in making a first contact. A brief message is enough; a contact form is not intended to substitute for a clinical conversation or a full history.

Analytics & cookies

Limited by design.

This website may use limited cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for the site to function.

If I use website analytics, I will keep them limited to what is reasonably useful for understanding whether the site is working as intended.

I do not intend to use advertising pixels or behavioral tracking technologies to follow visitors across other websites.

If you become a client

Clinical privacy is separate.

The privacy of information obtained in the course of psychotherapy is governed by additional professional and legal requirements.

Clients receive information about those privacy practices separately as part of beginning services.

Questions

If you want to know more.

If you have a question about privacy or the way this website handles information, you may contact me through the secure contact form.

This page is intended to explain website privacy in plain language. It does not replace the separate privacy notices and consent information provided to clients who begin psychotherapy.

Closing

Clear information.
As little unnecessary collection as possible.

That is how this website is designed.
